    Hi!
I created a CPT with PODS and enabled categories. When I create a new category under the CPT, the category appears under “Posts” as well.
I cannot create an archive template with Elementor, it doesn’t find any posts. And it might be because the category shows in both the CPT and on Posts.
What am I doing wrong? I have tried for 2 days now and watched videos… cannot see the issue.

First check the CPT Setting maybe you didn’t enable Archive Pages, second you can check in the Taxonomy settings which CPT are associated with it!

I think I am missing something. I have enabled archive pages and I enabled to use “categories” on this CPT. They seem to work fine, but they don’t – all the categories I create appear under “posts” as well. Do I need to create custom taxonomies to use the categories?

You’re running into the issue of WP Core not allowing anything but ‘post’ to be shown on Categories and Tags. This article should help you resolve that issue:

Thanks Jim! I put the code into Code Snippets, however it didn’t help.
How come I am having this issue? It doesn’t seem to be theme related, is it?

Every time I create a new category under posts or a CPT, that category is shown everywhere, on posts and every CPT. Any help with this is highly appreciated.
