category page dissaeapred after trying to get full post instead of excerpt

I believe there might be a way to solve this with permalinks as the url https://vivianadaya.com/cours/ works but using the menu to get to the “cours” page gives this url https://vivianadaya.com/category/cours/ – which leads to a blank page.

This doesn’t work for the two other pages :

https://vivianadaya.com/stage/ & https://vivianadaya.com/news/ both give a 404 error

I’d say that the reason for this page: https://vivianadaya.com/category/cours/ to be blank is most likely because of an error in the php code.
You could check if you find a error.log file on your server.
If you can’t find one, see if you can restore the file.

Thanks for the update Remark.no – I’m in the process of downloading the theme again but I was wondering if there is a way to replace only one or a couple of .php files found in the theme editor ?
And what are the risk that other elements of the site might not be applied.

From what I understand my custom css will stay as is, right?

If you want to make changes to any theme, you should consider using a child theme:

You could also check if you want to make changes and additions using an FTP client such as winscp, instead of making changes through the web interface.

If you added the custom css information through Appearance -> Theme options -> CSS style, then it’s saved in the database and will not be affected if you make changes to the various files.

Thanks Remark.no I was able to get the pages back . Now I still need to modify them so that all posts appear as “full posts” and not as excerpts on these three category pages. I guess I won’t follow the above mentioned thread so if you know how to go about this please do let me know ??

the_content instead of the_excerpt is imo still correct, but just be careful so you do not introduce a php-error.

So instead of
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>
write
<?php the_content(); ?>
