Category page formatting issue

I have a blog and I want to categorize each of the blog topics as a drop down menu. This is usually pretty simple. I just go to the menu and add the category as a menu item, however, when I do this I’m getting the categorized blog posts but the formatting is off. It’s not using the same style the main blog page. Here’s what I’m referring to:

I’ve exhausted all efforts to figure this out on my own so I’m hoping you can point me in the right direction. I’m sure it’s an easy fix.
