Category page gallery

I’m very new to this
The site I need help with is https://distractedstudent.com/For each sub menu under the category tab (food, travel etc) in the menu I want the page to display as a gallery of thumbnails but only for these catergory pages. how do I do this? I’ve installed the plugin and read about a shortcode but have no idea how to use it?
