hi guys — would like the category page to display just like the product pages — column width and border frames on the thumbs, descriptions underneath.

would even prefer to remove the sidebar and enlarge the images on the category pages, but simply having the pages display the same is the priority.

    thanks!

This isn’t something that WooCommerce has any direct control over and is entirely determined by the theme you’re using. As such, I recommend getting in touch with the developers of your theme for more support on this.

hi Riaan – thanks for the response.

digging through support forums i saw this – “The woocommerce shop page is archive page of post type “Products”. and when you click “card stands” (category), it redirect to a archive page of taxonomy “product-category””

does this not hint towards my product-category pages and product listing pages being generated from Woocommerce template files — archive-product, content-product, taxonomy-product-cat ?

i’m confused as to why the categories have no spacing and styling like the product listings do, as in the screenshot. the URLs contain ‘product-category’ whether for category pages or product pages. do you know which files generate the two different pages that i might find a way to apply the layout style of the product listings to category pages?

    thanks!
