• I am setting up a site using WP. I have created a section for blogging that is separate from the homepage. In addition to that I wanted to also have a news section that is separate from the blog. I have categorized all the news articles under the category called “news” but when I click on the category “news” under the posting I get a 404 not found. However I noticed in the URL that the “/” was missing. See here and try to click on the “news” category. https://elkandelkproductions.com/motoreagles/blog

What is going on? And how do I set up the category correctly so that I can link to a section that is just the “news” category.

In addition, is there a way for me to feed news category posts into another static page? I want to feed 3 news category postings into the static homepage.

Figured out the problem with the category and the “/” URL problem. I had to set a custom permalink structure for the category. All I entered was “category” in the category base field and now when I click on the “news” category it goes to a page with all of the news posts.

Still need help on creating a custom loop to feed in 3 news articles to the static homepage though.
