Category/taxonomy send 404 on secondary language

You can downgrade plugin to v3.6. In my case it helped.

Probably this change “Remove rewrite when registering the language taxonomy #1457” influenced the plugin’s work

This problem is still in v3.6.2 (2024-06-03)

I have tried reinstalling Polylang, resetting permalinks, and downgrading Polylang to a previous version, but the issue remains unresolved. How did you ultimately resolve this? Thanks!

Here’s what worked for me:

Before: Permalink settings for category base was removed by entering a “.” character, so URLs looked like

https://mydomain.com/./category-name/

which is displayed as https://mydomain.com/category-name/

When resetting that to the default setting https://mydomain.com/category/category-name/ it worked.

But I would appreciate finding a way to build permalinks without that /category/ slug.
