Category Pages

Hi stevennguyen194. Can you be more specific about which page or what part of the demo you’re referring to that shows category tabs? Thanks.

The pages that say lifestyle, music, and food. On these pages, the only posts listed are the ones specific to that category.

That menu is created by adding Categories, instead of pages, to your main menu. When you select that menu item it retrieves only the posts in that category.

Is there a way to show in these category pages a sidebar with posts of the CURRENT category? I’m using AlxPosts widget, I have to select a specific category.

Marco, to add this widget only to the Category Pages, download the plugin Easy Custom Sidebars. After downloading, create a widget for a specific page (in this case, each Category will have their own separate widget made). After you create the widgets, go to your admin toolbar at the top, hit Visit Site where your site name is located. When you are on your site, hover over your site name in the admin toolbar again, then hit Customize > Widgets. Go to the page where you wanted to add the widget, then choose that widget to edit. Add AlxPosts, then choose the specific page Category you want to display on your page. Save Settings. You will have to download that plugin to apply the AlxPosts to specific pages.

@marco – next time you have a question please don’t post it in someone else’s thread. Your question is about “category pages” but has nothing to do with this thread’s topic. Better to create your own topic so other users can benefit from it by searching on the topic title. When it’s buried in another thread like this it’s much less likely that others will find it, and it detracts from the original topic. Thank you.
