    Hi everyone! ;D

I have a problem with category pagination, in translations, at blog.eurekakids.es
    – The blog is running on WP 4.0
    – I’ve defined permalink custom structure “/%category%/%postname%/”
    – I’ve installed “Yoast WordPress SEO”, configuring, on permalinks, to take out ‘category’ from the URLs.
    – I’ve installed WPML for translations.

It’s a little bit strange, I’ll try to explain:

The spanish language works perfectly. You can see into categories and their pages ( Ex. “blog.eurekakids.es/consejos” – “blog.eurekakids.es/consejos/page/2/” )

The problem is on the two other languages we have active: italian and portuguese.

The first alert, for me, was trying to access “blog.eurekakids.pt/conselhos/page/2/”, it sent me to a 404 not found page. Then I tried in italian “blog.eurekakids.it/consigli/page/2/” and it failed too.

I went into the SEO Yoast Configuration, uncheck ‘take out category from urls’, save and then,I’ve checked it again and save. You know what? Now, the first language accessed work ( ex. blog.eurekakids.pt/conselhos/page/2/ ), but the second one still sends you to a 404 page. If I repeat the process of uncheck and check and enter first on italian, then it’s “blog.eurekakids.it/consigli/page/2/” the one that doen’t work.

I’ve tried to install ‘FV Top Level Categories’ as commented on SEO configuration, but it’s still failing.

Do you know what it could be happening? Any idea on what can I try, next?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Sergio Ruiz

    Hi everyone!

It always happend like that, you post your question online and five minutes later, you’ve got the solution … ^o^ … damned Murphy …

Looking around, searching for supports about categories or pagination problems, I’ve found the ‘Remove Category URL’ plugin.

I’ve installed and activated it. The first time I’ve tried to access “blog.eurekakids.pt/conselhos/page/2/” or “blog.eurekakids.it/sviluppo-infantile/page/2/” the result have been 404 page. But then, I’ve entered on the WP permalink configuration and simply have saved with the same settings I had (custom structure “/%category%/%postname%/”). Now I can enter on category pages for the three languages we have .es, .pt and .it.

I’m sorry about my previous question, but I hope if there is anyone else with a similar problem, I could help to solve it!!! ;D

    Thanks a lot! ??

    IMPORTANT UPDATE!

I’ve found a problem: post pages not accessible! Blog gave me an error when I’ve tried to see, for example, “blog.eurekakids.pt/conselhos/cadeiras-de-auto-conheca-suas-caracteristicas” or “https://blog.eurekakids.fr/conseils/les-interphones-bebes-pour-etre-plus-tranquilles-connaissez-leurs-caracteristiques”.

No problem! I think I have the solution, too ( I hope this time everything works ?? ):
    – just enter into Yoast SEO configuration and uncheck the option to take out ‘category’ from URLs. I supose it is because “Remove Category URL” plugin does the same job.

If I’ll find something else, configuring my blog, I’ll post here to share it ;D

    thanks a lot! ??
