    Hi,

    I am having a problem with my posts not displaying correctly, only if someone view’s my posts from the category tab. I publish a post and include some pictures, it displays correctly on the home page. You can view the same post from the category and it looks different, those with pictures. The words underneath the pictures are pushed up along the side of pictures making the post look a bit cramped and I do not know how to fix it. I just want the posts to look the same way as the home page displays them. Can someone assist me?

    My website is: https://www.creativesolvibrations.com

    Hi ADUpchurch

    Looking at the site’s code your category pages have an extra div inside which is adding extra padding. If you go to Appearance >> Editor and then click on the category.php option you’ll see the code.

    I think all you need to do is change the class of the 2nd <div class=”post”> to <div class=”entry”> – Make sure to take a copy of the code before making any changes in case you need to restore.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Sam,

    Thank you for responding. I have not been able to find a section in the editor entitled category/category.php, but I have found a section entitled archive.php. It briefly mentions category within it. Should I copy the code here so you can have a look at it?

    Archives (archive.php)

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <div id=”content”>
    <?php if (have_posts()) : ?>

    <?php $post = $posts[0]; // Hack. Set $post so that the_date() works. ?>
    <?php /* If this is a category archive */ if (is_category()) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Archive for the ‘<?php single_cat_title(); ?>’ Category</h2>
    <?php /* If this is a tag archive */ } elseif( is_tag() ) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Posts Tagged ‘<?php single_tag_title(); ?>’</h2>
    <?php /* If this is a daily archive */ } elseif (is_day()) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Archive for <?php the_time(‘F jS, Y’); ?></h2>
    <?php /* If this is a monthly archive */ } elseif (is_month()) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Archive for <?php the_time(‘F, Y’); ?></h2>
    <?php /* If this is a yearly archive */ } elseif (is_year()) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Archive for <?php the_time(‘Y’); ?></h2>
    <?php /* If this is an author archive */ } elseif (is_author()) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Author Archive</h2>
    <?php /* If this is a paged archive */ } elseif (isset($_GET[‘paged’]) && !empty($_GET[‘paged’])) { ?>
    <h2 class=”pagetitle”>Blog Archives</h2>
    <?php } ?>

    <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
    <div class=”post”>
    <div class=”date”><h2 id=”post-<?php the_ID(); ?>”>” rel=”bookmark” title=”Permanent Link to <?php the_title_attribute(); ?>”><?php the_title(); ?></h2>

    <?php the_author_posts_link(); ?> on <?php the_time(__(‘F j, Y’)); ?> in <?php the_category(‘, ‘) ?> <?php comments_popup_link(‘No Comments »’, ‘1 Comment »’, ‘% Comments »’); ?> <?php edit_post_link(‘Edit’, ‘ | ‘, ”); ?></div>

    <div class=”post”>
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    </div>

    </div>

    <?php endwhile; ?>

    <div class=”navigation”>
    <div class=”alignleft”><?php next_posts_link(‘« Older Entries’) ?></div>
    <div class=”alignright”><?php previous_posts_link(‘Newer Entries »’) ?></div>
    </div>

    <?php else : ?>

    <h2 class=”center”>Not Found</h2>
    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/searchform.php’); ?>

    <?php endif; ?>

    </div>

    <?php include(‘sidebar.php’);?>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    THERE IS A SECOND FILE:

    Archives Page Template (archives.php)

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Archives
    */
    ?>

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <div id=”content”>

    <h2>Archives by Month:</h2>

      <?php wp_get_archives(‘type=monthly’); ?>

    <h2>Archives by Category:</h2>

      <?php wp_list_categories(‘title_li=’); ?>

    </div>

    <?php include(‘sidebar.php’);?>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    THANK YOU SO MUCH SAM, FOR HAVING A LOOK AT THIS FOR ME.

    No worries. I think you just need to change (found near the middle of the code)

    <div class="post">
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    </div>

    to

    <div class=”entry”>
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    </div>

    Hope this helps
