Category Reordering

Well, we are thinking of adding an option where you can make one of the categories as primary, so that it always appears at the first for a given course.

Do you still think adding category reordering option would still be necessary if we introduce this feature?

Let me give you an example of my use case.

– I’m using the Category block on the homepage, and I will have the following categories: English, French, German, Japanese.

– At the moment, if I add the categories in this order, English would be the last one in the list, as it was added first.

– So it would be nice to be able to manually re-order the categories, so that I could pick their order.
E.g. English, German, Japanese, French …

Or if this is too complicated to implement, leave it Alphabetically like it is right now, and you can add a setting to select 1 category and make it featured.
This way, it will appear first in the list.

Well, we will think on adding different filters to the categories list block. Maybe that way users can use one of the available filters to fit their need to the best.
About reordering option, its actually not a matter of complication for us. If we feel like it could help more users then surely we can think about it and get it done.
As Masteriyo is currently at very initial phase there are tons of tasks, feature addition, feature enhancements in front of us and we would like to focus our resources on working on the tasks that make the most impact. However, I am created a task ticket for this as well, when an appropriate time comes we will check on it. Thanks.
