Category Showing Cardvirw Compact Theme

Was thrilled when this plugin became available – works and looks great. Using Cardview Compact Theme and there’s just one detail I can’t resolve. As you can see on Homepage, the category appears on the image, which I don’t want. Thing is, I don’t see anything in the widget settings indicating I selected it. Only thing I can come up with is I selected Use custom HTML Markup – settings in the image.
Will appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you…

Sorry for the late reply, just saw this message.
Please try this:
#1 Under Metadata Tag Settings, uncheck the Display Taxonomy checkbox.
#2 Next, under HTML Markup settings > Use custom HTML Markup > Post HTML Markup, delete this (but leave everything else as is):
<div class="taxonomies">{taxonomy}</div>
The end result should look like this:
<li><div class="recently-thumbnail-container">{thumb}</div> <div class="recently-item-data">{title}</div></li>#3 When you’re done, click on the Save button to save changes.
