Category/taxonomy slug is changed to “example-2” every time I click the save button. I’ve to manually go to the category and change back to “example” every time!!!

This seems to be a new problem. Can you please let me know the theme you are using?

    Thank you!

    Hello Dashnorth

I don’t know if this will help you but I had the same problem. In my case it was the latest version of Yoast that caused the problem. After changing to an earlier version of Yoast (Version 3.2.5) everything was ok. Maybe worth a try?

    Best regards

    Hello again

My bad, it was not Yoast that caused the problem. What salved it for me was by changing the way the enhanced post was saved. I removed the line where the category slug is overwritten by the post slug in this file enhanced-category-pages/classes/ecp/Enhanced_Category.php, row 187.

    Best regards

Hello, I have this problem too actually.
Every time I update the cat page, it created a new cat (same name but slug is eg cat-2, cat-3 etc) every time.
Do you think you could address this issue?
We have some term meta that keeps getting lost at each update, really frustrating.
    Thank you!!!

Was this ever resolved? I see the ticket marked as resolved, but I don’t see a solution. We are having this same issue.
