category static page sidebar widget not visible

    I’m experimenting with the Lite version, and I’ve added product the categories widget to the static page sidebar, but it’s not showing up. (The widget doesn’t show up in customize->widgets per documentation, but I did this in normal widget admin.) Have tried with a visibility condition set, but also with none set. What am I missing? Thanks!

    Solved. My mistake. Had the same issue with Advanced e-commerce store. In both cases, I hadn’t set the home page template to the custom version. Hope this may help others!
