Category Template

  • Hi,
    I would like to use the Boot Store Theme for my site, however, I am having difficulty displaying my posts in the categories just like in the demo here :
    https://demo.thecartpress.com/custom-categories-permalink/category-1/

    It seems that to achieve this look with this theme, I need to use the “Ready! Ecommerce” plugin and add all my products in there. The problem is that all my products are already into wordpress posts, and actually I just dont need the Ready Ecommerce plugin at all… What can I do?

    Hi Louno,
    You have 2 ways.
    1- convert your post to tcp_product post type. Then use TheCartPress as catalog if you don′nt need the shopping cart.

    2- Select a grid template (taxonomy-blog-grid.php) to display post category pages.
    TCP Appaerance > Custom templates
    Set the grid appaerance from TCP appaerance > catalogue. Load post configuration, edit and save.

    Hello Sur, would you please translate nr 1 or nr 2 for me in newbie WP language. I would also like a layout like the link above, but can’t get it done. Maybe with a little extra help. A link to a tutorial would also do ?? Thanks in advance!
