    Hi

I’m trying to use a category-1.php template to display all posts from Category 1 in a specific manner. I’ve created a category-1.php file, customized it like I want and put it in my theme folder. For some reason, all posts from category 1 are still displayed with the main index template. I’m confused. I use 2.0. Thanks.

Delete/empty the cache folder under wp-content?

Really? Delete all files in the cache folder? This won’t harm anything?

It harms the files in the cache folder!

    Seriously, no. WordPress rebuilds them.

I deleted the cache folder, but nothing has changed. The index.php file still displays posts from category 1 despite the fact that there is a category-1.php file in the theme directory.

Are we talking about the category archive listings or about the signle post view of the posts in that category? The template you made does NOT apply to single view.

I’m talking about the single post view of the posts in category 1. What changes do I need to make so that they apply to the single view?

    See this:

Please, read carefully the Update notes, there is also another plugin mentioned there: the “inheritor” ??
