    Hello,
The category title setting doesn’t work. No matter what I did it displays the default %title% %sep% %sitename% and %title% %page% %sep% %sitename% (for pagination pages).

I used to have Yoast SEO and moved the settings. My title had %category_description% %category_description% in the title, you have no such variable. Ok.

I put %seo_description% or %excerpt_only% as the category title in the plugin settings. In the preview on the edit page of a particular category, everything is displayed correctly. But on the site it still displays the default %title% %sep% %sitename%. All caches cleared several times and watched the site in developer mode.

It turns out that these values are not taken in the output template.
The only option to change the category title is to prescribe it manually. But this is wrong. I’m in the settings set what variable to use as the data value.

    Hello @ediet,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

You can use the %term_description% variable for the category description. For the issue, please share an affected URL and a screenshot of the title & description preview for that category so we can check and assist you further. You can use a tool like https://imgbb.com to share the screenshots.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello @ediet,

The %term_description% variable is working fine on our end. Please make sure that you have set a description for your category. For the issue with the title, please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta and enable the Rewrite Titles option. If there is no Rewrite Titles option in the Titles & Meta settings, assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Here is a video you can follow as well:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.
