Category URL problem

    Hey guys,

    Whenever i create a new category such as ‘clothing’ wordpress automatically puts mysite/category/clothing in the url. Is there any way to remove the ‘category’ part and just have mysite/clothing? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Check the permalink structure of your blog by going to Settings > Permalinks.

    If this works you might have to change the permalink structure permanently which will brake the links to your posts. Use the “Permalink Redirect” plugin to fix the issue…

    Thanks for the reply. I seem to have cracked it for now. I found a plugin called ‘no category base’ and it appears to have worked. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
