When I use the WooCommerce product categories widget I have found that the count of items shown against each category includes “hidden” products.

This is specifically obvious when I have a category that only has one product and that product is hidden. I have told the widget to hide empty categories, but it is treating this category as having products, so it is appearing in the category list with a (1) beside it. But then when you click on that category it says there are no products. (Which is to be expected).

    Expected behaviour:
The product categories widget should not include hidden products in the count. A flow on from this will mean that the widget should not show categories that only have hidden products in it.

    Hi @jodamo5,

Have you cleared plugin cache (if applicable) or server side cache? Does it still count the hidden product if a theme/plugin conflict test is done?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

It seems to me the problem isn’t solved. I’m using a modified version of the script onWooCommerce to hide certain categories from a shop. But when I use the category widget it still shows the number of products in that category but when I click on it there are no products found.
