    I’ve just had to reload my databases from a backup and now I’m having trouble displaying my categories (and comments, too by the way). Instead of the categories list in the sidebar I’m getting the following:

    WordPress database error: [Unknown column ‘category_count’ in ‘field list’]
    SELECT cat_ID, cat_name, category_nicename, category_description, category_parent, category_count FROM wp_categories WHERE cat_ID > 0 ORDER BY cat_name asc
    * No categories

    When I go to the category list in the admin area they are all there and the posts all have categories listed. Any ideas?

    Many thanks

    Eddie

    I was having this same problem – the database needs to be upgraded to play nicely with updated functions in WP v2. This is done pretty much automatically when you first go to the admin page after restoring/upgrading.
