• I need to create a navigation, (separate from the navigation I already have in place) that will sort page content based on category. For example if I have a link “news” I would like only for posts in the category of news to appear.

Can anyone help me make this happen?
https://new.coolmac.org/ is the blog I would like to apply this to.

    Thanks in advance.

  • WP does that out of the box: click on a category name and you will see all the posts in that category. (Well, with one single post in the blog it is difficult to learn the behaviour of the tool you are using…)

Sorry, I set the blog to display one post at a time so I could work on the theme with ease. How would I implement this feature of WordPress in a navigation bar at the top?

    Thanks for the help.

Put your category list at the top and style it to look as a horizontal menu.
Hint: many themes do that with the Pages list; it should work in the same way, just use the template tag to display the categories list…
