Had a site running on WP 5.6 with this plugin and Gravity Forms. The second I updated GF, a critical error was generated. So I disabled GF, updated WP to 5.7, activated GF and no more critical error. But then after I updated GF, the critical error returned. So then I disabled this plugin and the site was working fine again. So something with this plugin seems to be creating a conflict with GF and/or WP 5.6 – 5.7. I don’t know, but this plugin will have to remain deactivated until it is patched. Please keep us updated.

    Hi @pracko,

Sorry to hear this. Could you perhaps share some more information about your installation?

Which version of PHP are you using for example? And do you mean Gravity Forms, or Gravity Forms Entries in Excel? Because this plugin is not Gravity Forms, but an add-on to that system.
    – I misread, apologies.

I’m currently running GF 2.4.23, GFExcel 1.8.9 (as of today) perfectly fine on WP 5.7 on PHP 7.1. Can you perhaps share the Gravity Forms system info page with me? It will give the needed info.

Also, can you tell me what the critical error was? Perhaps by enabling WP_DEBUG or reading the php error log? Without the error, I would know how to help you.

    Thanks!

Error log indicates a conflict with the MARKBAKER issue mentioned in a previous thread:

    [Wed Mar 10 18:42:28.970425 2021] [php7:error] [pid 15816] [client 38.80.249.58:25294] PHP Fatal error:  Cannot redeclare Matrix\\adjoint() (previously declared in /nas/content/live/qimedical/wp-content/plugins/qim-distributor-map/includes/vendor/markbaker/matrix/classes/src/functions/adjoint.php:20) in /nas/content/live/qimedical/wp-content/plugins/gf-entries-in-excel/vendor/markbaker/matrix/classes/src/Functions/adjoint.php on line 20, referer: https://www.qimedical.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

    WP: 5.7
    GF: 2.4.23
    GF Entries in Excel: 1.8.9
    PHP: 7.4.14

/qim-distributor-map/ plugin is a custom plugin that provides a critical feature on the frontend of our website. I see it has a ‘markbaker’ dependency.

@pracko I was afraid of that. More plugins using this dependency. I fix one issue, a new one sticks it’s head up.

Can you send me an e-mail on [email protected]? I’ll send over a possible replacement plugin with a marbaker fix. You can just update the plugin via wordpress plugin upload utility. You can test if this solution works ??

    Will do, thanks!

Please let me know if you think I should notify the developer of the custom /qim-distributor-map/ plugin about this dependency issue. Or maybe /markbaker/ just needs to fix this on his end? Cheers!

I think it’s good for the developers to know.

Also good to know I’ve already submitted two PR’s to markbaker:

    https://github.com/MarkBaker/PHPMatrix/pull/14/files?diff=split&w=1
    https://github.com/MarkBaker/PHPComplex/pull/13/files?diff=split&w=1

A better solution would be to fix every plugin with a custom version (namespace) of this dependency; but that could mean a breaking change for some users.

@pracko I’ve send over a file. It could have ended up in your spam-folder, so please check that out if you haven’t already received it ??

Got it. Gmail wouldn’t allow it so I had to grab it via my webmail account. Thanks.

Unfortunately the new version still results in a critical error upon activation. Will keep it deactivated for now and stay posted to this forum for future updates. Thanks for trying Doeke!

This problem is fixed in a recent patch version. Closing the ticket.
