Sadly, I had to remove the plugin. For some reason, it was causing php5-fpm to become unresponsive. I’m not sure why. But it was an easy decision, because it was the only change I made to my server today and since disabling it, I’ve had no more problems with php5-fpm.

    I’m on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, php 5.6.15

In the end, I think there may be a bug in 5.6.15 that gets exacerbated by Wapuuvatar and some other plugins. After disabling this plugin, I continued to have issues with php5-fpm just less often.

Strange – I was on PHP5-fpm when I developed it, and didn’t have any issues – sounds like there’s something up specifically on your setup. If you do manage to find any more detail – please do let me know!

Will do. Upgrading to PHP 5.6.16, hopefully that improves things

Can confirm that my issues had nothing to do with the plugin. Sorry for the false alarm.
