Causes problems with the Elementor page builder

  • Hi, I installed this to reduce server load during development of some websites I was building using the Elementor Plugin and OceanWP theme. After installing I had problems getting Elementor page builder to load when I tried to create a new page or post. I had to go through various different page setting combinations to get it to activate. I disabled all plugins, the problem was fixed, I then reactivated plugins one by one and and tested creating a new page each time, when I activated Heartbeat Control the problem came back.

    It sounds like they’re using the heartbeat API to do something editor-wise (which in most cases, is bad practice). In the near future, I’ll be releasing a version that will allow more control, which should solve this.
