Causing redirect death loop

  • The latest update, v0.9.97.46.1, which was released 3 hours ago, causes my AMP pages to go into a redirect death spiral. It tries to show the AMP page but redirects to the non-AMP page which redirects to the AMP page and on and on it goes. This is the most buggy plugin I’ve ever used and my visitors hate it. I get emails asking why my site is so slow on cell phones and tablets. Huh, I thought this was supposed to help with that.

    You also can’t leave proper comments unless you buy the add-on plugin (which isn’t cheap), you can’t use a mobile contact form unless you buy another plugin (which isn’t cheap), you can’t do custom ads unless you buy a plugin (which isn’t cheap), you can’t use any of YOUR widgets unless you buy a plugin (which isn’t cheap), you can’t do much of anything except slow your site down. And you can’t get one-on-one support unless you, you got it, pay even more money. If you bought every plugin to make your site as functional as the non-AMP version of your site, you’d go broke.

    TIP: If your theme has a built-in mobile theme, use it. This is garbage and I’m sick of every other release bringing in a host of new problems. And it will slow your site down. It’s not speedy like it was intended to be and has become bloatware.

    I’m extremely sorry to hear that, We strive hard to make our software as efficient and bug free as possible, however, we are still learning from our mistakes and trying to improve on it.

    Can you please try to switch to v0.9.97.46 and see if everything is working fine?
