• Hi I have a client who wants the Caveat font, which is a Google font, but i do not see it in the dropdown menu on the Typography page in Theme Options.

    Thank you-

    Hi sunshowerbiz!

Is the menu being created by a plugin or a theme?

The menu is built into the theme

What theme and where did you get if from?

Have you tried reaching out to the theme’s author about it?

    Jose,
It’s the Virtue theme by Kadence themes. I tagged this post with “virtue”, which is the only way I know of to get them to reply in this forum. That is how other Virtue theme questions have been here. This forum is their only point of contact unless I pay for support. Paid support is also via forum but not in the wordpress forum – I am hesitant tu suggest that to my client; I would need to know it will be speedy(er).
Still hoping they will reply. I have no idea where to add the @ code for the font. I know in a “normaL” HTML site it is added in the head section of the page, I have looed for wherever the other google fonts are called up in the php files but I can’t find it.

    I know that feeling! ??

Though for future reference all themes hosted on w.org do have a support forum of their own:
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/virtue

As for the Fonts issue, taking a closer the font is an option. Are both the theme and plugin ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/virtue-toolkit/ ) up to date?

When I use the latest the following show up when I type out Cave:

OK I did not know that about the separate forum. Thanks. It is a google font, but Virtue only uses 250 of the available Google fonts because of load time. I will try their forum directly and hope for a response-
There is a newer toolkit, but I looked at the changelog and fonts were not listed. I just did a boatload of updates on the site so i was not wanting to find out the update might be “beta” type or something like that.
    Thanks again

Super strange that it isn’t showing as it is listed in the file:
    https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/virtue/2.6.7/themeoptions/inc/fields/typography/googlefonts.php

That is how theme appears to get the list of fonts. That is taken from the current version ( 2.6.7 ) available. Perhaps deleting the theme’s folder and reinstalling may work?

Yes, I found out I needed to upgrade the theme, though there was no upgrade listed in the dashboard. I did and now have the Caveat theme. Oddly, when I upgraded all my widget code disappeared. I had to downgrade back to the previous version and then they were back and happily, the Caveat font remained. ??

    That is super strange!

I’m glad you did finally get that font though! So good part! ??
