CC is required for free account

  • It’s not disclosed that a CC is required for a free account until AFTER you’ve already given then your name, e-mail, and phone number. This feels highly misleading and unethical, and I don’t do business with companies that employ these types of practices.

    You’re 100% right. All our plans require a credit card to start; even the free plan and some features are only available on certain plan levels.

    However, you can control when and if your card on file is used within your account settings. You can read more about those settings here – https://optinmonster.com/docs/pageview-and-upgrade-preferences/. And you can always upgrade at any time to access the features you’d like.
