I am not getting a text for cell phone sign in and can’t access my site. I went to the Wordfence site to start a ticket, but am unable to sign in there. I reset my password for Wordfence to no effect–I got the reset email, but neither my previous nor newly-set password got me in. I am a premium member.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Kristen,
Can you send an email to support at wordfence.com with your Wordfence username or email so I can find your account and determine why you can’t log in (ignore the auto-reply you will receive). Also please include the phone number that is not receiving the texts in the email. If you need to get immediate access to your site here are instructions:

To get access to your site immediately, you can remove the Wordfence plugin. You can do this by logging into your WordPress cPanel and deleting the Wordfence directory usually found in a directory similar to public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence.

Once you delete the directory, you will be able to log into your site again. At this point, you can reinstall Wordfence from the WordPress repository (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordfence/) and under the Wordfence Cellphone Sign-in page, delete the user that is unable to receive the text messages.

Once I receive the phone number, I will investigate why the messages are not being received.

Just wanted to add that I too am not recieving texts with my wf code and can not access my site.I will email support.

I am getting the text, but there is no where to enter it. It is completely blocking me out of my site.

Cannonball You enter it like this:

a.) go to your login page
    b) enter your username and password and are redirected to the login page again
    c) you get the sms with a code
    d) you enter your username
    e) you enter your password like this password smscode
so if my password was cl3v3rb0y and the code sent was wf5968 I would enter it like this :
    cl3v3rb0y wf5968

Also, in the future make sure and open a new post so we can track your issue better.

    tim
