    Hi @paolotira,

Thanks for reaching out. At the bottom right of each Map is a circular locate icon which does just this (as long as the user allows the browser to see their location).

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Joe

You are right. But if the user moves the map stays put. It would be useful to have the map move with the user, so the pointer always stays in the center of the screen. As happens in road navigators. It would also be useful to be able to keep the screen on during the journey. Those who ride a bicycle have their hands full and it is inconvenient to have to turn on the smartphone every five minutes.
    Thanks for your assistance

A nice suggestion, I will look in to how this could be added as a feature.

It would also be useful to be able to keep the screen on during the journey.

To my knowledge it is not possible to achieve this from the browser, as the content in web pages do not have the same control over the phone as native apps.

I do plan on expanding the scope of the plugin one day to add support for native apps, however this is a long way out. Currently I am focusing on Waymark primarily as a web app.

    Thanks again for your input.

    Cheers,

I’m using the wordpress plugin “DaftPlug Instantify ” to turn my site into a PWA and the plugin’s “Screen Wake Lock” option works on my smartphone. Both in web and webapp mode.

    Hi @paolotira,

Good to know, I’m not familiar with that. So are you requesting that Waymark does something similar – i.e. prevent the phone from sleeping when, say it’s in fullscreen mode? Or are you saying that there is a problem with Waymark preventing it from being compatible with your PWA-ified site?

    Cheers,

    Joe

No, no problem with Waymark. Just wondering if it was possible to do the same thing with Waymark, i.e. lock the screen on.
