Centering content area

Hi there! I am currently on the steep learning curve of WordPress and am enjoying this theme and thought that it might be the one but unless I can figure this issue out, I’m not sure…
No matter what I do or what alignment I choose for the content blocks, they are always/aligned justified left. I cannot have a “central” image for example and there also doesn’t seem to be a way to align text in any other direction. Is there a way to do this? I have played with every setting in Styles and cannot find anything that works editing the individual pages either. Everything is pulled to the left, even in the editor.
