Centre justifying in theme Twenty Sixteen

  • Hi I cannot centre justify my menu or my header in theme Twenty Sixteen. I have googled the problem incessantly and all the suggestions are to go into Appearance, Customize, Menus, then Additional CSS, and add a CSS string. Thy all have different suggestions on what CSS to use. None of the CSS strings they have suggested has worked for me. Can anyone help?

    Did you ever find a solution? I’m having the same problem. Most importantly I need to center the header graphic.

    .header-image {
    margin-left: 8em;
    }

    Works fine in the developer tool but I can’t seem to find the right part of the hierarchy even if I specify the page.
