Cerber blocks uploads

    Hello,

    Version 6.7 up till the latest update is blocking media uploads.

    It seems to be an arrangement of media types including pdf/png/jpg etc and it errors out with the WordPress ‘HTTP error’.

    We know when we disable the Cerber plugin, it works flawlessly.

    We use this plugin across a vast number of client websites and they have the same issue from time to time.

    Do you have any advice/support on this?

    Hi!

    When this happens, visit the Activity tab. You can find the answer there. If the plugin blocks a request, it logs the reason. On the Life Traffic page, you can find more techical details about a particular request.

    It still blocks my csv uploads even from a whilelisted IP (31.51.57.108). What do I do next? csv upload is vital to our operation.

    I can’t say what’s going on because it’s your site and only you can check the Activity tab. Always check the lockouts events (IP blocked) on Activity tab, all answers are there.

    I dont see any info thats useful to me in the activity report.

    The error I get to fopen is file MembershipsPurchasedCustomerDetails-2018-12-14T14_20_44.csv
    The uploaded file type is not allowed.

    If I click on the details link it just adds the referrer zand user agent e.g.

    I have not yet been able to investiagte the status of mbstring. I’m waiting for my host service to tell me if its switched on.

    If this would explain the problem then I will puish a little harder.

    I’m sorry I mislead you. The above is from the live display. The activity log is several hours behind and has no record of the transaction. there are no lockouts at the moment.

    I’m even more sorry now! The error I get is coming from the file upload entry in a gravity form so is probably not Cerber related.
