    Hi all,

Really liking this plugin, just about ready to purchase it but I have found an issue which I believe is commonly known but not resolved. At least I couldn’t find any resolution to it.

When you set a custom login page, you can no longer access password protected content. I have seen a number of posts in this forum with the same issue however they appear to be ignored.

Is there a solution for this? Can I have the security of a custom login page and use password protected content?

Look forward to some replies and hopefully a solution. ??

    Hi!

What kind of “password protected content” do you mean? Membership plugins?

    Hi Gioni,

In my case it’s a password protected category in Symbiostock/Woocommerce.

I have done extensive testing and it absolutely relates to the custom login page option. ??

You can try it here: https://wall2wall.photos/product-category/rwphotoshoots/
    Password is: ycQ^7j%Uk!N(

Currently I have the custom login active.

In this case, Symbiostock has to implement its authentication function correctly. A custom login page has nothing to do with passwords allowing access to a category because they have nothing to do with authenticating website users.

Thanks for your response Gioni. Unfortunately I get a similar response from the Symbiostock developer.

I guess the only thing that suggests it’s related to your software is the fact that when I do use the custom login page with your software, it doesn’t work. When I don’t use a custom login page, it works.

It’s now a They said and You said situation.

So, where too from here? I think Wordfence has this issue resolved… *sigh*

I’m not sure why this has been marked as resolved. It most certainly isn’t resolved.

WP Cerber blames Sybiostock, Symbiostock blames WP Cerber. The issue remains, if I use a custom login page, the Protected Directories do not work. If I don’t use a custom login page, the Protected Directories work.

Gioni you say it’s a Symbiostock issue yet Protected Directories work when using Wordfence. This suggests the issue is with WP Cerber and not Symbiostock.

I prefer to use WP Cerber, I even want to get the pro version but cannot until this issue is resolved.

Gioni, is this issue ever going to be resolved?
