Certain database tables rapidly changing
-
I’ve noticed while viewing the database in PHPMyAdmin for my WordPress site that the size of the _commentmeta, _comments and _postmeta tables are changing rapidly. I refresh the database tables listing and find the number of rows increase as much as in the tens of thousands within seconds and then return to a single base number and then back up again. I also noticed that this happens even after I completely remove my wordpress files from my site. I don’t see any cron jobs for this site configured on the server and the event scheduler is off for this database. This seems to be really bogging down the server and I don’t know how to fix this. When I clear out one of these offending tables, it discontinues this activity, which makes me wonder if there’s something inside the tables doing this? This is just a really odd problem.
