• I installed wordpress and it works (Sort of),
When I click “New Post” I get a ton of errors
“Warning: include(edit-form-advanced.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post-new.php on line 52

Warning: include(edit-form-advanced.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post-new.php on line 52

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘edit-form-advanced.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post-new.php on line 52″

When I try to go to the edit page I get this:

“Warning: include(./edit-form-advanced.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post.php on line 188

Warning: include(./edit-form-advanced.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post.php on line 188

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘./edit-form-advanced.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/nwdigic1/public_html/news/wp-admin/post.php on line 188″

and I tried uploading post-new.php manually as well as edit-form-advanced.php. Neither approach worked and I can’t edit a post or do a new post without using the quick post option. Please let me know if anyone has experience with this problem as I am at a loss.

  • Sounds like you didn’t get a complete and intact set of WordPress files uploaded to your host. I’d consider downloading a fresh copy of WordPress from the Download tab at the top of this page, then use something like 7-Zip to extract the files. Then reupload the files to your host. Review Uploading WordPress to a remote host and make sure you are using ASCII transfer mode in your FTP client.

Also you could try the ‘Re-install Automatically’ under Dashboard->Updates.
