My homepage, contact page, and what you need to get started page loads up pretty fast. However specific pages like the login page load slow. Also if you were to navigate from one page to the home page, the homepage will suddenly load slowly. I have changed all images on all pages from .png to .jpg to reduce the image file size so that isn’t the problem. I’ve cleared my cache multiple times. I followed wp rocket tutorials as well. But it seems like no matter what I do those pages do not load fast at all and I get very low scores on website speed test pages.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Unfortunately, website speed is a “science branch” on its own, and you should consult with professionals on that matter. Ultimately, like with any software, it starts with your hosting. But here are some points:

    1. Never check the https:// version of your website, it’s returning incorrect data.
    2. Google Page Speed Insight doesn’t measure the actual speed of the website, but optimization experts can definitely provide more insight into this topic.
    3. Register a free account on GTMetrix and choose the test server nearest to your website visitors (targeted audience).
    4. Embedded videos speed will never depend on your hosting/caching, but solely on their origin.
    5. It appears you’re also using Cloudflare. Consult with WP Rocket team what CF option you should keep disabled (also check Elementor docs on this matter too), because some options may interfere with the speed or proper website rendering.
    6. You can check the waterfall for your website here: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/straightforwardpiano.com/p7tjOxUu/
    7. The biggest problem is the massive hero with the video embedded from YouTube, followed by another embedded Vimeo video.

For pages where you’re not using Elementor, you can enable AMP because OceanWP is compatible with it: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/766-how-to-enable-amp-for-oceanwp

Hope this is enough to give you a start boost.

I changed my hosting and it solved everything. I went from bluehost to kinsta.

Really Glad to hear that issue has been fixed now.
