• An issue:

If using certain theme, featured images on the content type “page” aren’t displayed. Content type “posts” displays featured images with this theme. And other themes display featured images too, on both content types, posts and pages.

So only the combination “page”, “featured image”, “certain theme” is affected by not displaying featured image.

What can be wrong with the theme? How can I debug this issue?

  • What can be wrong with the theme?

WordPress provides the feature to attach a featured image to singular items (post, page, or any other custom post type) in the editor… but the display of the featured image on the front end is entirely up to individual themes.

So it seems this “certain theme” only supports displaying the featured images on POSTs, and not on PAGEs (or any other post type).

If you can disclose the real name of this “certain theme”, I could take a look and give you a more definitive answer.

    Good luck!
