CF7 adds "www" to email addresses

The contact form on my site adds “@www” to the email addresses in the contact forms.

The forms sends with this email address: “[email protected]”, that’s what is configured in CF7.

However, in the email client shows the following email address: [email protected] (note the “www”).

So the problem is, that even I set the sender and reply-to addresses to “[email protected]”, the emails are sent with “[email protected]”.

I have followed the documentation and have gone through the FAQ, but I couldn’t find a solution.

Anybody seen this before or has an idea what could cause this behaviour?
