CF7 form not sending.

This might be a two-fold problem (or three, it possibly being the theme but here goes). I am using Motors theme by stylemix and for each car listing there will be a dealer contact form for enquiring on the particular listing. I have filled out the mail tab with a gmail “To” address and used a real “From” address from my domain for testing but i still get “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
This error message is in a blue box and i can’t find the corresponding clue as to where the issues might be from the CF7 docs. (they talk about red/orange etc error borders). I’ve also tried putting email tag in the “To” with the same results. Error and no email delivered.Thus my second question becomes, if i need to set up a specific “To” email address; how does each new user get email directed to them for their respective listings? I realise this may be a question for the theme developers

I did as you advised and unfortunately did not work.
The message is not sent and the plugin shows the red alert.What I noticed, though, is that the not sent message is stored in Flamingo even if not sent. Maybe this does help?
@takayukister I went back and created a fresh site, and tried a sample page and it sent email using CF7 just fine, i slowly reactivated all the plugins and themes it still works. I’ve now narrowed it down to a configuration problem. The sample contact form using the following details works as it should:
to: [_site_admin_email]
from: [_site_title]<email@address>my question now is: Is there a special tag to reference the owner of the particular the listing like maybe [_author_email]? [_user_email] would just send the form back to the person filling in the form not the listing owner correct?
