CF7 hangs on sending

  • Contact form initially worked on my site. After upgrade to CF7 4.8 it now hangs on submission and the icon remains spinning. I’ve disabled all other plugins to no avail and updated to latest wordpress version 4.8. I’ve also downgraded back to CF7 4.7 but the problem remains. Any help appreciated.

  • Also seeing this after an upgrade from 4.7 to 4.8 today. Submitting the post shows up in the console as going to:

    /wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/1153/feedback

    which returns a 404 error. I have rebuilt the permalinks and made sure WP_DEBUG is off. Still no luck.

    Got a solution at least for https://schwefel-bor.de !

    My WordPress version is 4.8, I haven’t changed this.
    I’ve installed plugin WP Rollback and rolled back to
    Contact Form 7 version 4.7.

    It’s hard to believe, but now everything is working fine again.
    Hope, it’s working for you.

    I get rid of Contact Form 7 plugin as soon as possible.
