Does enabling the CF7 integration automatically enable the David Walsh Technique in CF7 forms?

If not, can I enable both? Would that cause any problems?

I’ve been looking into this today because I use Zero Spam with WP Forms and it’s not working.

From my reading of the code, it looks like the David Walsh method only works with comment forms and registration forms.

    Can @bmarshall511 confirm this?

This is NOT clear in the settings if it’s correct.

And I’d love to see a plan to bring this back for the form plugin integrations.

    Thanks

This will be enabled in the next release, v5.0.12.

Thanks Ben. How do we enable it? In the settings section under David Walsh Detection Settings, do we enter:
    .wpcf7-form
in the Custom Form Selectors field?

No, it’s enabled when David Walsh protection is enabled along with CF7.

Thanks Ben! If I examine the page with my browser’s developer tools, should I be able to find the hidden field that this technique adds? I didn’t see anything added, but I may have missed it (or perhaps it wouldn’t have been injected yet when the developer tools loaded the DOM?)
