CF7 + Mandrill

Hello,
we have an issue with CF7 not sending emails with Mandrill.
Have done the following tests:
– not using anything except CF7 with same domain FROM email address = all good.
– using https://en-au.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpmandrill/ which works with ninja forms but not with cf7. In cf7 settings we’ve tried FROM email with both same domain and the mandrill email = CF7 doesn’t send email
– using both https://en-au.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpmandrill/ and https://en-au.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ and same results as above, CF7 not sending email.
– deactiving https://en-au.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wpmandrill/ but using https://en-au.www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ and again same results, CF7 not sending email.
How can we resolve this?
