CF7 works in Safari and Firefox, but not in Chrome

    Hi,

    I’m having a strange problem with CF7. It was working fine across all browsers until recently.

    Now, it still works in Safari and Firefox, but not in Chrome. After I fill in the required boxes and click “Send,” nothing happens.

    Any suggestions?

  • This could be due to a JavaScript conflict with either your current WordPress theme or one of the other plugins you are using – see Contact Form 7 Email Issues – there is a link there that covers JavaScript Conflicts.

    Problems occurring on only some browsers or devices is relatively common with JavaScript Conflicts.

    Hi,
    I have the same problem on different wordpress websites with different theme and plugins activated on them.
    I’ve tried to deactivate themes and plugin but I can’t fix the problem, neither by updating to the latest wordpress version (4.1.1).

    I can’t use a form that doesn’t work properly on Chrome…
    here there are two different websites with this problem:

    Posting in an existing topic and taking over the original posters question is generally considered inappropriate.

    Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.

    @buzztone — many thanks for the suggestions.

    In the end, I turned to the excellent support staff at Elegant Themes, which makes the Gleam theme I use in my website. They made some adjustments to the way the URL appears in the browser address bar, which seemed to fix the problem.

    I wish I could be more specific with the technical explanation; alas, I’m a real novice with this stuff.
