    mrickan,

    Thanks for the kind words.

I have been working on support for ACF for the past month or so. The farther I dive into it, the trickier it is to have custom fields fully working with my plugin. But, it is possible and I am looking to release a paid version of this plugin to support custom fields and other features. I’m also looking to support the Types plugin and Custom Field Suite, among a few others.

May I ask why you use Custom Field Suite and not any other custom field manager? Is there a certain feature in it you would like to see supported? Does it do something the other plugins don’t?

I’m also looking to incorporate an API in a pro version of this plugin. That way, it can be easily extendable through add-on plugins. But, I’m not quite there, yet.

I am available to do customizations for this plugin now, if that’s something you’re interested in. For custom work, please inquire through my website at https://www.dauid.us/contact.

    Cheers,
    -D

Your existing solution is invaluable so I’m sure that a premium version will be well-received. It’s always difficult to keep everyone happy but the ability to support other popular plugins and provide for extensibility will be a killer combination.

Like many others, I adopted CSF because it is lightweight, easy-to-use and Matt provides excellent support. In many respects, the “less is more” credo that it embraces is what makes it so great. However, the conditional logic that it lacks means that it can be a bit limited in a workflow situation.

I’ll drop you a line and let you know what I’m up to.

    mrickan,

CSF support has been added to the development queue and will be available when the next major version is released. This goes for all custom fields, too, as well as some other features, as per our email conversation.

    Hi!

Do you have an ETA for the paid version of the plugin?

I will buy it right away!!, having a checklist for custom fields is something great!!

I really need for my website, let me know if you need beta testers even paying before it’s not a matter for me at all.

I’m also developer I’ll use for this website nomadsurfers.com

    sk8walker96,

I’ve been receiving a lot of excitement about the release of the paid version – and, I’m nearly there, as far as a release date. The PRO version adds a ton of extra functionality (not just custom fields) and I’ve got a few bugs to work through. I’m hoping it’ll be close enough for some initial beta testing, starting as soon as next week.

I’ll be sure to contact you with some information as soon as I have it.

As far as paying beforehand – I’d be more interested in giving it to you for free, in exchange for some closed testing, and/or a second pair of eyes on the code, in the coming days.

Great! just let me know, i have a complex installation with many CF and logic filters to display them it’s gonna be a good test

    (@dauidus)

Well, logic filters is one area that isn’t going to be covered in the first PRO release. Turns out, supporting this for the top 5 custom fields plugins is somewhat of a nightmare, as they all handle logic in different ways. I will get there… just not enough hours in the day, as it stands.

I teach full-time at University, run a small dev shop and get sucked into more volunteer hours than anyone should around town – so admittedly, development on this has been slower than desired. But, it will eventually get there.

    Hi Dauidus!

Where we are with the new update? any news for the beta testing?

    Regards!

I’m still marching forward with development, but am still working on the custom fields implementation. It seems, each time I take a step forward, I take two steps backward… fairly common in development cycles.

Beta testing is still on the horizon. I have many other features working fine, but the one you’d like to test is still in development.

I can tell you that the first release of PRO most likely won’t have support for CF logic filters… only the fields themselves.

I will post here with news when I have it. ??

    Hi Dauidus!

Where are you with this implementation?

Hope everything is right on your end

    Cheers!
