CG-Feedread cache problem

I am installing the above and trying out on my site (https://www.airdrie.net/weblog2) but keep getting an error message above the feed post as follows:
CG-Feedread failed to save feed to disk — couldn’t write to the cache_feedread directory.
I have set up a cache directory (I think) in several directories (ie in same folder as CG Plugins, root blog directory, under wp-content and in theme directory) and set chmod 777 but no luck.
