• I have installed CG-Inbetween. The problem I am having is that when I add an Inbetween to an HTML file as the first post, it shows up in all the pages I add. If I change it to 2, it shows up as the second post and not on all the other pages. How do I fix this?

An Inbetween set at 1, should not be showing up on all the other pages.

The problem I am having is here: https://www.andysfinance.com

I have sucessfully setup CG-Inbetween on https://www.rawgreed.com with no problems.

  • Umm, you’ve confused me to say the least… ??

A numeric inbetween should show up on any archive page (homepage or other). On a single post page, only something tagged as single is supposed to show up… at least, that’s the way it was originally intended. Did I screw something up in the latest update?

What are you looking for in functionality?

Sorry about that maybe my question was a little hard to understand. I created an HTML file which I used CG-Inbetween to insert as the first post. Now, for example, whenever I update https://www.rawgreed.com the newest post shows up underneath my Inbetween. When I create a new page, pages exist outside the normal blog so I never see the Inbetween. Currently on https://www.rawgreed.com I have a little snippet of text about the site and a google ad as 1. You only see that text snippet and google ad on the main blog and none of the other pages on the blog. Thats how I guessed it should and always has worked.

Now for the new blog i’m creating, https://www.andysfinance.com, the Inbetween seems to show up on the top of any page I create. The odd thing is, this only happens when I set the InBetween to 1. If I set it to 2 I never see the HTML file show up on any page other than the main blog.

I would like to be able to set a group of Inbetween’s for the main blog and a different set or none at all, for the different pages on my blog.

    Thanks for reading and helping.

Without really seeing the site code, hard for me to say — but I’ll take a stab in the dark.

If your theme doesn’t have custom Page and Single templates, then the main index.php is being used for everything. It is possible (though still shouldn’t) under those circumstances that the Inbetween might show up all the time.

I also still don’t understand how it is being used on rawgreed.com. Is the Inbetween the “RawGreed.com is written by Andy…” text?

I’d need specific URLs, plus admin and ftp access to your site, to really be able to understand and investigate further. That’s the only way I can really understand what the Inbetweens are, where you’ve located them in the code/templates, and seeing what URLs work and don’t work (based on what you expect, of course…). Feel free to ping me at my site if you’d like me to get hands-on with this…
