Change the color value #e03d3d to #8512A8 from “themes/news-mix-light/css/extra.css” file. I tested via firebug, it works.

  font-size: 24px;
  background-color: #8512A8;
  padding: 0 0 0 20px;
}

ideally, do not edit your theme’s files directly, but make these changes via a child theme or via a ‘custom CSS’ plugin;
