change author

  • I have installed the Change Author plugin, however, it doesn’t give me the option on my Downloads (seemingly doesn’t account for custom post types). How can I change the author for these? If not possible, how can I modify the shortcodes to not show the author or to show a different author name that I specify?

    When the downloads are created, they have an author attached to them. You can see the rendering here at this link https://goo.gl/uu1IG7 as an example. I need to reassign the downloads to another author, such as Admin or whichever. Using the Change Author plugin, I was able to do that on posts in Quick Edit. The option did not appear in Downloads. Screenshot of the post Change Author option. In this case, I had somebody upload the files for downloads but now I need to assign those downloads to the right author.

    Hi, can you carry out a test. Can you disable all of your other plugins. Then test to see if the author is still displayed.
