Change Background Color of footer widget

Or you can use this CSS:

    color: #ffffff;
    background-color: #1b212b;
}

Every thing works except title text of all the footer widget remains black.

Try this:

.footer-widgets .widget-title {
    color: #ffffff;
}

Im using @generatepress theme and i want to change the backgroundcolor, can someone help me? Another question, after changing background color, they will be in “boxs” or extending the screen like a footer?
