Change Background Color/Radius on Slide Out

I changed the iocns to circles (with border radius) but when you hover they turn into ovals- not very cool but I can’t seem to separate the rules for hover/slide.

I either want to remove the slide effect all together

OR

when you hover the icon background stays a circle and the hover share text shows in black with a white(or transparent) background. It will make more sense if you take a look:
